:: Pretty Pink French Baby Shower ::

How cute are little girls? I'm about to become an Aunty to another adorable little niece! My sister-in-law is due in less than two weeks and I am crazy excited to meet my niece. A little while ago my sister-in-law had her baby shower and it was divine. Can baby showers be classy? Well, this one was!

My sister-in-law loves all this French-shabby chic, and her baby shower was no different - pink hessian bunting, macarons, coconut macaroons, baguettes - yum!

My sister-in-law's Mum is a plant whisperer and together they put together super cute potted plants as thank you's for all the guests. Mine is thriving quite nicely on my front deck!
Seriously, so pretty, right? We played a bunch of fun games and everyone had a great time!

:: Ballerina Baby Shower ::

How awesome are baby showers? I love them. I mean, I love all sorts of parties, but there's something special about baby showers.

Two weeks ago we hosted a baby shower for my little sister. She is having a little girl, and since she has been doing ballet ever since she was little, we figured it would be perfect to have a pretty pink baby shower with ballet undertones - tulle ruffles and little ballet food labels.

We had a pretty pink lolly table filled with all sorts of delicious lollies. Strawberries and cream, raspberries, milk bottles, musks, red heart lolly pops ... yum yum! My sister also made adorable floral hair pins as thank you gifts for her guests. Cute, right?

We ate yummy food like pink rocky road (bark, I think some of you call it?), mini sausage rolls, mini quiches, mini pies, yummy cheese and dip platters, a Dreamy Donut cake, and cute cupcakes! All in all it was a fantastic day!

I'll do another post soon about the fun games we played!

:: Baby Shower ::

Last Sunday was my younger sister's baby shower. It's hard to believe that in about 5 weeks time my sister will be a mother and I will be an Aunty. The Baby Shower had a jungle animal theme, so we had elephant cupcakes (among mountains of other delicious food) and the most adorable animal carousel as a table centrepiece. We played some fun games like captioning pregnancy based comics, guessing baby animal names, and guessing the baby's name, weight, length and due date.

My sister and her boyfriend still can't decide on a name for their little boy. Any suggestions are definitely welcome!
