:: Wedding Details - The Honeymoon ::

I have been very spoilt with weddings this year. So far I have been to three weddings, and have recently found out I will be back-up photographer for a dear friend's brother's wedding in May. Until then, the royal wedding has satisfied my wedding lust. Did you watch the royal wedding? Unfortunately I was travelling up north while it was being televised, but I have been Googling every detail I can ever since I came home! What were your favourite parts of the royal wedding? Is it wrong that I'm already imagining how adorable their children will be?

I received a call from our wedding photographer yesterday to say that our wedding album will be ready to pick up this Friday! I am beyond excited! I can't wait to share some professional photos with you all. In the meantime, I have some photos of our honeymoon in Melbourne. We adore Melbourne, it is a city full of culture and history, amazing food, incredible architecture, and out-of-this world shopping!

Melbourne is known for it's graffiti art decorating the cafe-filled lane ways between buildings. Far from looking grungy, it adds an artistic edge to otherwise upmarket cafes.

The last photo reminds me of an old-time movie set! It is a photo of the Flinders St train station.

This Sunday is Mother's Day. To celebrate how amazing our Mum is, we're going on a picnic (yay!). I hope the weather is on our side and that my Mum has a fantastic day. How are you celebrating Mother's Day? And to any mothers, what are you hoping to get for Mother's Day? My Mum always used to ask for good children, ha!

Happy Wednesday!

:: Mrs Lavender ::

Hello!

I am back from the most wonderful wedding and honeymoon I could've imagined! I can't wait to share all my favourite parts from the past few weeks with you all.

Our wedding was absolutely perfect, it was so amazing to see all our family and friends in one place together to celebrate our special day. Even though it rained all day, for one beautiful hour is stopped raining - the exact time we needed to have our photos taken - how lucky were we? We were blessed with beautiful grey skies and a wonderful old building for the backdrop for our photos and I can't wait to see the final products!

Our day started around 7am and didn't finish 'til midnight. I had so much fun all day and somehow managed not to cry throughout the ceremony. I have cried at every other wedding I've been too, so I thought for sure I'd cry at my own - but I was busy having too much fun! The waterworks came during speeches later, speeches always get me.

I have hundreds of photos to sort through, but I wanted to share with you my favourite photo from the various happy-snappers during the day. This photo was taken by my older brother while he was juggling a large umbrella and various other items. I think the blur makes it perfect.

Much love to you all!
