I like to take photos, so I thought I would bite the bullet and enter one of my photos in a competition! Now, what is about to follow is a shameless self-promotion and I promise I won't ask something like this of you ever again (okay, maybe not for a while at least!).
I have entered the photo below in Queensland Rail Travel's "All The Holiday You Can Take" competition. We had to enter a photo that represented one of QR Travel's five travel types: beach, reef, outback, city and rainforest. I chose rainforest!
You can vote for my photograph here. All you have to do is log into your facebook account, 'like' the 'Queensland Rail Travel' facebook page and vote for my photo! You can vote once every 24 hours until the competition is finished.
I would love, love, LOVE it if you guys could vote for me as many times as possible. I found out about the competition a little late, so I need those votes!
Thank you SO much!

:: Wedding Details - The Girls ::
Good morning!
Boy am I glad it's the weekend. This weekend I have sweet nothing planned and I intend to enjoy every moment of it. I've been looking through some more of my friends photos from our wedding and I thought I would show you my lovely bridesmaids today. When I first started planning dress details I had a clear 'Grecian' vision in my mind. At first I was planning for a mint coloured bridal party, then I shifted to wanting chartreuse (which ended up being vetoed because of the olive-complexion of two of my girls). In the end I chose a vividly bright kelly green colour!
Each girl wore a dress suited to their body type. I wanted the dresses to have a Grecian theme to tie in with my dress, but also to reflect their own personal style.
A lot of people told me how much they loved the bright green dresses, most of them weren't expecting it! Hey, everyone knows I love green!
I love the colour and the way their dresses turned out.
The pops of bright green on the groomsmen looked fantastic too!
It's so much fun to look through all my friends photos. We still haven't decided what photos we want to go in our professional album, I feel like a mother being asked to choose her favourite child!

:: Wedding Details - The Boys ::
Hello!
I'm back with more wedding photos. After my last wedding post Mr LG asked where the pictures of him were, so I thought I would show you the boys today. I let Mr LG make his own decisions on the boys attire, and I think he chose amazing outfits for his side of the bridal party. My favourite part (apart from their adorable bow ties!) was the pocket squares - Mr LG had white to match my dress and the boys had green to match the girls. The pops of green on their black suits looked amazing!
My brother-in-law was the driver of the boys for the day, so I gave him my camera and told him to take some shots. This one is of Mr LG posing in our front door way.
I love these photos of the boys helping each other get ready!
The boys waiting in the church for everyone to arrive - and on a side note, how cute are the pew decorations? They're a tie-in to my Kitchen Tea decorations.
I hope you all had a fabulous Monday to start your week off!

:: Mrs Lavender ::
Hello!
I am back from the most wonderful wedding and honeymoon I could've imagined! I can't wait to share all my favourite parts from the past few weeks with you all.
Our wedding was absolutely perfect, it was so amazing to see all our family and friends in one place together to celebrate our special day. Even though it rained all day, for one beautiful hour is stopped raining - the exact time we needed to have our photos taken - how lucky were we? We were blessed with beautiful grey skies and a wonderful old building for the backdrop for our photos and I can't wait to see the final products!
Our day started around 7am and didn't finish 'til midnight. I had so much fun all day and somehow managed not to cry throughout the ceremony. I have cried at every other wedding I've been too, so I thought for sure I'd cry at my own - but I was busy having too much fun! The waterworks came during speeches later, speeches always get me.
I have hundreds of photos to sort through, but I wanted to share with you my favourite photo from the various happy-snappers during the day. This photo was taken by my older brother while he was juggling a large umbrella and various other items. I think the blur makes it perfect.
Much love to you all!

:: Happy New Year! ::
I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and a fabulous New Year! Christmas was a huge day for Mr LG and I. We started the day by opening our presents from each other (he gave me a box filled with crafty things - stamps, ribbons, pens, stickers ... I was in Heaven!) and then headed to his brother's place to spend time with him before going to my parents place for the rest of the day (and night!). We were truly spoilt by our family and friends and our day was filled with love and laughter - what more could we have asked for?
We spent New Years playing Nintendo monopoly with my sister and her boyfriend. I lost ... big time! But, I still had a tonne of fun! I have officially started my holidays and yet, I still feel so busy! My days are filled with wedding crafts and errands while trying to move out of my room. Have any of you tried to move after 17 years of accumulating stuff? Wow, it's a huge task! I'm not generally a hoarder, I'm actually quite good at throwing away/donating things I don't need or use anymore. And yet, I still have SO much stuff! My room currently looks like a bomb has hit it!
Can you believe I get married next weekend?! Everything is starting to feel more and more real as we do things like final dress fittings and finalising menus. I can't wait to share the actual day with you all via what will probably be multitudes of photos!
I hope you are all having a fanastic break over the new year!

It is my 28th birthday in a few days (the 6th) and I can't even begin to think about a way to celebrate it while my wedding 'to do' list still has so many items on it. None of them are huge tasks, but some do take time. My latest project has been stamping cute little brown paper bags for guests to put lollies from our lolly table in.

:: Wedding Inspiration - Vintage Books ::
I love books. The love the smell of them. I love the feel of them. One day I hope to have a library in our house with floor to ceiling books. Luckily, I am marrying someone who also loves book - old books in particular.
So, what do old books and our wedding have in common? I've been so excited to share this with you, but I had to wait! Now I can finally show you our vintage book invitations!
Time was running out on our invitations and we still hadn't settled on a style we liked. We both love simple, clean looking things and we both love old books. It was actually my younger sister who came up with the idea to join the two together and create a fantastic book themed wedding invitation!
They have been a hit with our guests and we couldn't be happier with them!
Who doesn't love a brown paper package tied up with string?
The countdown is officially on now - 24 days 'til we get married!

:: Pink and Green ::
A little while ago I participated in a Colours of the Rainbow swap hosted by the lovely Jess. It was such a fantastic swap - your partner was given your favourite colour and they sent you a package full of your favourite coloured goodies!
My partner was the gorgeous Allana of High Maintenance Hippy. Her favourite colour was pink. I had such a fun time putting together her package of all things pink!

I sent Allana a package full of stationery, a tea towel, decorations, a travel mug, a necklace, some musks and some ribbon. I also sent Allana's daughter a small package (the last photo). According to Allana, she was 'tickled pink' (ha ha!).
Speaking of corny jokes, you're going to be 'green with envy' when you see what Allana sent me!
Have you ever seen so much green deliciousness in one package? Allana put together an amazing package full of stationery, a tea towel (I love that we both gave each other a tea towel!), two gorgeous hand-made crocheted bow brooches (so adorable!), recipe cards, a cute little magnet, and the broken little guy in the last photo. Unfortunately he didn't survive the trip to my mail box which is such a shame because he would've fit into my kitchen perfectly.
Today was a fantastic day. Mr LG and I had our engagement photo shoot! I can't wait to show you the photos once we get them. We had a lot of fun on our old bikes.
How was your weekend? Did you do anything exciting?

:: Snail Mail ::
I have definitely been spoilt this week with lovely snail mail. I received three packages, one letter and some beautiful flowers. These lovely parcels have come at a perfect time as I am sick once again. I can't wait for Summer to officially be here!
Incoming:
This cute card arrived from Jess in New Zealand. Love the flowers!
This awesome 90s stationery arrived from Perth with two CDs of lovely French music from Jenn. We had been talking about the hilarous 90s stationery we still had in our collections and now I can't wait to send her a letter on some of mine!

Mr LG turned up at my place with these lovely flowers for me. Immediately my sister asked him what he'd done wrong, haha! I absolutely love them and even more so because they were 'just because' flowers. So lucky!
This absolutely adorable card and onesie arrived for my new nephew. Gracie, you are incredibly sweet! Thank you so much!!
I also received the most amazing package full of green goodness as part of Jess's 'Colours of the Rainbow' swap, but I will post about that next time!
It's raining here, so once again my plans for swimming have been foiled! I took Mr LG to his first ever scrapbook store experience ... I think he may be scarred a little, ha! I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend!
