:: Brisbane - A Guest Post ::

When you hear the word 'Australia', what do you think of? Kangaroos? Emus, maybe? Sydney Opera House? Me too. Australia has some very iconic animals and landmarks, which is part of what makes this island so special. Whenever I first mention I'm from Brisbane to my penpals, most of them admit to either not knowing about it at all, or knowing very little about it. I kind of like that about Brisbane, it's a bit of an untapped gem.
Brisbane has some amazing sights to see, and I talk about a few of them of at Lindsay Eyrn's blog. Lindsay is on her way home from Korea and is doing a feature on 'home' and she asked me to write about the place I call home! See my post here!

I want to thank you all for your patience while I recover from my recent illnesses. I still find it hard to get through a whole week of work, so things like blogging and writing to pen pals get pushed aside in favour of sleeping. I hope to have a lot of wonderful photos to share with you all soon!

:: Wedding Photography ::

Last month I was given the opportunity to be the second photographer for a wedding. I love weddings! I adore the love, warmth and emotions surrounding the day. I had such a great time capturing all those emotions. I'm really starting to think photography is where my heart lies.

I've been trying to learn how to use PhotoShop so I can make the most of my photos. My next step is to learn how to use Lightroom so I can edit my raw images.

Do any of you use PhotoShop or Lightroom? I only know the basics at the moment!

:: A Sunday Picnic ::

A little while ago Mr LG and I packed up some yummy food and headed out to our favourite picnic spot! This time we decided to ride across the pedestrian and bus only bridge before settling into our favourite spot and watching the ducks in the lake.

I've written about all the delicious things we ate over at :: Mind Your Crumbs ::

It was the perfect way to end the weekend.

Do you ever go on picnics?

:: Brisbane - UQ, St Lucia ::

There aree so many things I love about Brisbane, and one of them is the University of Queensland at St Lucia. I studied at UQ for six years and I never got sick of the sandstone buildings and amazing greenery. It is also one of Mr LG's favourite places in Brisbane, so last weekend we went there for a picnic. We sat by the lake and ate yummy food while we watched the ducks.

She was not happy I was standing near her babies
It was incredible to watch all the othr ducks in the area rally around the babies to stop them going into the water where there were eels hanging around. You can see an eel in the background of this photo. Yuck!
It was the perfect afternoon.
