Okay, not really, but there was some surprising pushing and shoving ... all for some stamps and glitter glue! Never get in the way of a lady and her craft, haha. Our main objective was to find my sister some stuff to use in the album/journal she is making her little one. And, obviously, I couldn't resist buying myself some stuff ...
I am in love with my new washi tape. My washi tape addiction is seriously getting out of hand, but it's just so versatile! I can't wait to show you the washi tape thank you notes I made for my sister's Baby Shower and my future sister-in-law's Kitchen Tea. They're so cute and seriously so simple.
PS. For those of you who are wondering the outcome of all my tests a little while ago - my surgery is booked for the 6th of August. I have to have part of my small intestine removed. I will be in hospital for anywhere from three days to a week, depending on my recovery. From there I won't be able to drive for at least a month, I won't be able to do anything strenuous for another six weeks (no gym etc), and it will take around three months to be able to start eating normally again. But I'm actually really excited about the surgery, because I'm looking forward to not feeling sick all the time!

Ooooh, I love craft fairs! But way too easy to spend a pile of money I don't have!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your surgery, Jasmine!
Hope it goes really well, and you recover quickly!

Looking forward to seeing your baby shower and kitchen tea creations my dear! So cute about the vicious old crafty ladies, hee hee! You know my love is with you for this operation. x
ReplyDeleteI went to the craft store this weekend, but have not been able to find washi tape. --I'm so glad you have a diagnosis and a plan to make everything okay. My thoughts are definitely with you. :)
ReplyDeletelast fall, when I had surgery (emergency, not planned) it was because my intestines had twisted upon themselves, cutting off the tissue and it died so had to be removed. They took about 10 centimeters as well as a valve near the appendix, and then last month I ended up having another surgery when something similar happened. It's scary, but I have to say after the recovery I felt better than I had in quite some time. I hope that you find some relief from your surgery, and at least you won't be scared wondering what's going on! If you want to talk about it though, let me know. I've been to every Gastro Intestinal doctor in the area it feels like :) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteP.S. during my recovery time I had a LOT of time for crafts :)
Scrapbook fair sounds like fun! I want to start buying some punches, as I don't have any. And though you know this already, my prayers are with you about your surgery! xx
