:: I'm Alive! ::

Well, I survived!

I'm back home after my operation and have been spending most of my time on the couch watching the Olympics. I've been watching the diving, synchronised swimming, and track and field. My recovery has been pretty good so far. I'm not in too much pain, but I have been pretty sick with the same symptoms I had before I went in, so I'm a little worried about that. But, I'm just hoping my body will calm down over the next few weeks.

Super sexy hospital lingerie
I had two signs that everything was going to be okay before I went in - one of them was that I got to wear my favourite of the hospital gowns available (it's the small things). The second was that 'Call Me Maybe' was playing in the pre-op area - this is known as Dance Party/Anthem to my friend Alyssa and I. I get excited every time I hear that song. Mr LG is so sick of it.
White stockings are all the rage in Summer 12/13
Sooooooo drugged up
Gotta love hospital food
Love flowers!
Cat hot water bottles

Is there a female version of 'Chicks dig scars'? Ha!

  1. Here's hoping the symptoms are just your stomach slowly adjusting to the new interior design! You must be the sexiest pouter in a hospital gown that I've ever seen, you are gorgeous and funny! Oh my gosh, Call Me Maybe. I've only heard it once when I saw a USA Olympic Swim Team video to it - it got stuck in my head and I was singing it to my husband. Yep. It's stuck in my head again!

    P.S. I was in St. Albans this past week and saw a shop called Lavendergreen. What a coincidence, right?! I took a photo of it and will try and post it on my blog sometime soon!

  9. Yay for being at home and being able to recover with some good TV viewing. I hope you get better quickly and your body calms down. You are definitely rocking the hospital look and I must say you do it well. The flowers look pretty and I'm sure they helped to cheer you up. I'm going to try and visit before I leave :) x

  13. Call Me Maybe? Really? That song drives me nuts because I hear it about 20 times a day at work. But then again, it seems to be about 20 songs on a rotation, so when you're there for 8 hours then you'll start hearing songs repeated. And then it's the same songs every day. Sigh. Sorry for the rant. I'm happy for you that song was a reassuring sign ;) And I'm glad you're doing well! I hope everything will continue to go smoothly for you, dear!

    I also wanted to let you know that I've awarded your blog with the Liebster Award! Please check out my post here http://feedotbee.blogspot.ca/2012/08/the-liebster-blog-award.html

  15. the first time I had my intestinal surgery, they did a resection and it took a little while for my bowels to "learn how to work right" again. Now I still have some stomachaches and I'm trying to figure out what is causing them, Hope youre feeling much better soon! Get plenty of rest and hang in there!

  16. P.S. I'm looking into whether there are any jet lag supplements. It seems that trying to stay awake is one of the best ways and getting changed from the clothes we've travelled in helps makes you feel more fresh. Haa. I will keep looking though. I do hope you are getting better.
