:: Royal Show - The Ekka ::

I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this here, but I love carnivals (called 'shows' down here). I'm a huge fan. Last year I couldn't go to our yearly Royal Show because I was holed up in hospital, so this year I was determined to go. Mr LG and I had an awesome time, we ate bad (delicious) food, patted llamas and alpacas, saw day old lambs, bought traditional Bertie Beetle show bags, and spent a lot of time in Sideshow Alley at night to watch all the lights of the rides.

Oh, and to take photos. Obviously.

    Your photos are so beautiful Jasmine, you have a real talent!

    I usually avoid shows/carnivals, I think because I work in a school I avoid children the rest of the time! Your pictures have made me want to maybe brave one again, it does look fun!

    Our county fair starts next weekend! I hope I can go. It won't be as cool as yours, but it's fun and Southern. Cowboy boots and funnel cake galore. :) What foods are at the show you went to?

    These photos are amazing! You have bought back so many childhood memories for me. I would always go on the haunted house, I use to love being scared silly. Maybe I need to go again.

    We havent agreed on a dog yet. I really like dauchhounds but it will probably be something small and cuddly haha. Dads dog is cute I will just have to enjoy his company for now.
