:: More Wedding Fun! ::

Last weekend Mr LG and I flew to Perth (on the other side of Australia) to witness two friends join in marriage. I had the pleasure of being a bridesmaid for my beautiful friend.

Just for the record, the bridesmate didn't carry a bouquet, he was holding it while the maid-of-honour signed the registry.

I have been so blessed with wedding joy this year - first my own, then being an MC for a high school friend, and now a bridesmaid for another friend! It was such a fun day full of laughter and love. It felt so surreal to be in Perth (more photos to come) with my friends, especially considering Mr LG and I were only there for 38 hours!

I have decided that weddings are pretty much my favourite kind of event. You are surrounded by so much love and warmth, and everyone has a fantastic time!

What is your favourite part of a wedding? I love seeing the groom's reaction to his future wife walking down the aisle, I love the gorgeous dresses, and I love the pure joy that radiates from the couple getting married.


PS. I completely unrelated news, today is my blog's first birthday! Yay! To celebrate I will be hosting a giveaway very soon!

    Happy 1st blog birthday!! How lucky to have so many special events lately. I love weddings but have only been to two my whole life. I need my friends to hurry up and get moving.

    It's always such an honour to be invited to someone's wedding isn't it? And indeed to be a part of it. Mmmm favourite moment - I also love seeing the groom's face. Through my camera lens I love seeing those little looks, those little touches, the emotions of family members. Just counted up the number of weddings we've been to so far - 22! 20 of those have been in the last 5years. And each one is still a beautiful, treasured experience. Happy blog birthday! x

    How lovely! I haven't been to Perth before but I'm sure it will be pretty awesome.

    You are having a big wedding year! That was me last year. This year is more about babies I think :)

    I love seeing all the details in weddings. And definitely the grooms face. And just the love you feel in general. x

    happy first blog bday, jasmine! love these photos! and weddings really are fabulous. i think my favorite part is dancing. i have never had so much fun dancing as at weddings, and i have no idea why. must have something to do with all the love in the air. also bridesmate! i love it (and the clarification that he didn't carry flowers). i never heard bridesmate before. happy easter weekend to you!

    I haven't been to a wedding in a while, but we've got one in June and I can't wait. I think I might need to get a new dress! I love when the bride first comes out and the groom sees her... I love the speeches, and the first dance. I love all of it! Ooh, and the cake. Mmmmm!

    Such beautiful photos!!!! How wonderful to be there in Perth to be such a special part of your friend's big day!! I love weddings sooo much (in fact I can't wait to wake up at 4 AM later this week just to watch the Royal Wedding!) and am so excited that my little sister is getting married in July :) What makes it even more special is that I will be her maid of honour :) I can't wait!
