Thanks to my penpals my local post office owner/worker knows me quite well! He's always excited to see where I'm sending my letters and postcards.

My goodness! You have just reminded me of a part of myself that I had completely forgotten!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a teenager, I LOVED writing letters! Of course, back when I was a teenager, that was the only option!! But you forget about things like that in the age of technology, that is now.
I used to get so excited about buying new stationary, and I could never wait to use it!! In fact for most birthdays and Christmas I got piles of it, as everyone knew it was what I loved. And I had over 40 pen-pals, all around the world! Heavens....I wonder if some of them are on Facebook these days!?
I almost feel thirteen again!!
Thank you for a great post, and lovely photos! You may have just encouraged me to go and buy some gorgeous paper, and a reason to use the coloured pens sitting in my drawer doing nothing. :)
You put so much love and care into this, it's beautiful. I think it is so sweet that your post office person gets excited about your parcels. They must love seeing post used for nice old-fashioned means like a handwritten letter!
ReplyDeletei was so happy as usual to get my package from you! I am seriously behind with my mail. But i'm going to sort that out very soon xx ps glad you like the bigger photos, a friend advised me ;)
ReplyDeleteI love getting mail! The only mail I ever get is bills :(
