:: Montville ::

Two weekends ago Mr LG and I went up to Montville for the weekend. Montville is about an hour and a half from Brisbane and is in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. We were given a voucher to stay there as a wedding present and it was amazing to get away from the hustle of our daily lives. We stayed in a little cabin surrounded by trees and woke every morning to the heat of a slowly crackling fire and the birds waking outside. Bliss!

Jasmin Cottage!
Montville is full of antique shops, crafty stores and little cafes. We had fun walking up and down the main street, stopping to look at almost every store.
Lavender and Jasmine, such a great combination, wouldn't you agree?
This is where we ate our lunch at a local bar! Isn't it adorable?
Over the past few months we have visited a few places in our home state. I'm really enjoying getting to know Queensland better! Where is your favourite place to visit in your home state? I think Montville is up there in the top five for me!

  4. I love montville!! Jason and I went on a day trip for an anniversary a few years ago. I remember it was freezing cold and we were jumping into each shop to get warm.

    Love the photos (and your cardi). Montville is a great place to be. One of my fave places. As well as the Sunshine Coast in general. It's so much more relaxed than the Gold Coast. x

    In answer to your questions my skirt and top were both from Myer but they were both bought a little while ago.

  11. Such a sweet little place! Love that table where you had your meal. Too sweet. :) That is such a brilliant idea for a wedding gift though! Very thoughtful indeed.

    I live in the city, so there are not many places to escape to. But we have a new and upcoming city about a 45 minute-drive away, and even though it's a mini concrete jungle, it's still nice enough to escape for the day. :)

    Glad you had a lovely time! x
